McFee believes the health and well being of our employees and neighbours is paramount. We believe that everyone should finish work as healthy as when they started. We have no hesitation in stopping work activities if there is any risk of compromising people's health and safety.

Our objective is to achieve an incident free workplace through a ZERO Harm philosophy.  We do this by ensuring that all incidents are reported, investigated and, corrective actions implemented.

Our policies around safety and health focus on the need to provide a safe and healthy working environment for all employees, contractors and visitors under the direction of McFee. We aim to identify, assess and then eliminate or control all safety and health hazards as the key points in a total risk management process.

McFee are continuously working hard to lead a safety culture change in our industry. This evolving initiative aims to encourage employees to take ownership for their, and their workmates', safety and well being and gives them the confidence that they can raise with management practices or conditions which they believe are a hazardous.

As a base line objective, McFee aim to conduct our operations in compliance with all relevant legislation, regulations, standards, licenses and codes. In addition to this we seek continuous improvement in all aspects of our work processes and procedures, setting objectives and targets to measure improvements in safety and health.

Educating our people about the importance of safety and health at all levels of the organisation ensures effective involvement and open communication on all safety issues. We require employees, contractors and visitors to abide by all safety policies and ensure that they have the necessary knowledge and skills to undertake their work in a safe and healthy manner.

Fitness for work is paramount at McFee, and is an important component of our health and safety platform. To this end, we encourage everyone to take these commitments to safety and health from the workplace to our homes. To ensure a safe work place, McFee maintains a drug and alcohol policy which requires employees in all locations, including regional offices, to participate in random drug and alcohol testing.
